Mitsubishi ACX 2022, despite the fact that the car survived the planned restyling, got a really new body. Because of him, judging by the photo, the crossover has become less like its predecessor. This version of the ASX differs from the pre-reform version in revised trim levels and prices, while the technical characteristics of the Japanese model remain the same.
As before, the crossover is based on McPherson struts and a multi-link design, which are combined with anti-roll bars. The length of the Japanese model reaches 4365 mm, width – 1810 mm, height – 1630 mm. The wheelbase is 2670 mm, the ground clearance is 195 mm.
By default, the Mitsubishi ASX is equipped with a naturally aspirated engine that produces no more than 117 hp. useful power and 154 N * m of torque. Together with him, a 5-speed manual transmission is installed on the crossover. ASX in this version is capable of accelerating to 100 km / h in 11.4 seconds, consuming an average of up to 6.1 liters. Optionally, another 2-liter naturally aspirated unit is available for the crossover. Its declared useful power reaches 150 hp. with a maximum torque of 197 N * m. This engine is combined with a continuously variable variator, which can simulate 6 gears, and all-wheel drive. The latter supports 3 modes of operation, including a hard connection of the rear axle.

As for off-road performance, both crossovers are similar: both have a three-mode all-wheel drive system, a clearance of about 200 mm and short overhangs.
The advantage of the ASX is the L variator mode, which simulates a reduction series. With the electronics turned off, Mitsubishi is quite confidently pulling in and storming steep climbs.
It is not necessary for the Qashqai to turn off the traction control system – the all-wheel drive electronics quite competently plays with the transfer of torque along the wheels, so Nissan storms the same obstacles with no less ease. An extra chance to reach the ground gives a little more suspension travel.
Design
The ASX was one of the first Mitsubishi models to adopt the new body design. The compact crossover received a large block of rectangular LED lights, which was built into the bumper. Because of this, the front of the body has become more elongated and square. At the same time, the crossover retained the X-shaped metal strips that run along the perimeter of the relatively compact radiator grille and go under the narrowed head optics. The front bumper, equipped with a thin strip of air intake, is additionally reinforced with a metal plate, which is fixed from below. The aft end of the Japanese model looks like it hasn’t changed since 2011, when the ASX first hit the market. The difference between the first and latest version of the crossover is only the appearance of new LED lights and enlarged cutouts in the rear bumper.
In the cabin, after the last modernization, the changes are more noticeable. So, the crossover received an enlarged touch screen and an updated climate control unit, which contains 3 large washers. The steering wheel remains the same. The same goes for the dashboard and transmission tunnel. The front seats of the Japanese model are not very comfortable. But the rear row of seats, despite the compact size of the car, provides a fairly comfortable fit.
