I really understood the car after 5-7 thousand km and I will say the following – the Jeep Grand Cherokee is completely different compared to the cars that I and my friends had. Feels like a premium car.
I have done 9,000 km already, and I like it more and more. It has a very cool and beautiful interior: everything is illuminated, all electric adjustments, it heats and cools perfectly. The stove-hair dryer turned on and it was immediately warm in the cabin, even if the engine was still cold.
A very small consumption of anti-freeze, and the consumption of a solarium comes out somewhere around 11.5 liters in the city, and 8-9 liters on the highway (if you don’t drive too much, although the car knows and loves it).
And how he rides! Powerful and assertive at any speed. At least 100 km / h, at least 160 km / h – he does not care, since there is always and everywhere traction. I confess, I was caught by the traffic police on the M4 in the Rostov region. I was driving at 181 km/h. They asked where are we going? I answer them that a car cannot drive slowly.
On the road, the car is respected. I really began to be noticed in the stream. Wanted to rebuild – please! Yes, and I have become much more polite. In general, the car changes me for the better!
Off-road climbed so far only in the snow. Car crawls like a cockroach. He doesn’t care if you go uphill or downhill. I drove along the prepared Jeep Territory track, looked at everything clearly and, most importantly, they told me about how all these off-road gadgets work.
It’s too early to talk about reliability, since the car is still new. Of the shortcomings I want to note the trunk. In Xtrail, it is more convenient in terms of layout, but there is no electric drive. With rubber, I missed, it was necessary to put spikes, as the car is heavy and powerful.
There is no point in comparing off-road performance, since Ixtrail is still rather weak for off-road use. There is no lowering, no hard blocking, and he does not like the diagonal. I got stuck a couple of times on the X-Trail. There is no such thing in the Grand Cherokee – he calmly creeps where he needs to and where he needs to.
About the drive: X-Trail is front-wheel drive with a rear axle connected, while the Grand Cherokee uses both a rear (60%) and a front axle (40%), which also affects the driving style. Jeep drags more noticeably when accelerating.
