Appearance
The designers of the European branch of the South Korean brand did their best. Kia X Sid only in the shape of the front doors is similar to the hatchback related to him in the family.
Take two photos of these cars and try to find common features in the exterior – it will not be so easy.
Unpainted plastic around the perimeter hints at increased cross-country ability. The front head optics of a complex shape, as it were, flows down from the wings onto the bumper. The radiator grille has retained its signature shape, but it looks completely different. The embossed bumper with a large air intake is beautiful and expressive. The A-pillars of the roof are littered at a large angle, giving the appearance of swiftness. Even 18-inch “rollers” will fit in large wheel arches. Advantages and disadvantages
The car has been sold on the world market for two years and only one year in our country. Therefore, people have not yet developed an attitude to the car, as to more popular models. However, it has its advantages:
- productive engines;
- maneuverability and stability on the road;
- sensitive steering wheel;
- rich optional equipment;
- many security assistants.
Of the minuses, the owners note the poor quality of the plastic in the cabin, the lack of all-wheel drive and low ground clearance. The car is a competitor to the Toyota C-HR and DS 4 Crossback and at the same time has characteristics similar to those of the BMW X2 and Lexus UX.
Options and prices
In our country, four trim levels are available to customers: Luxe, Prestige, Premium and Premium+. Car prices start at 1,754,900 rubles and end at 2,304,900 rubles.
luxury
Since this is not “Classic” or even “Comfort”, but immediately “Lux”, the level of optional equipment for the car in the starting configuration is very wide and includes:
- folding rear seats;
- climate control;
- steering wheel adjustment;
- several driving modes;
- shift paddles;
- a complete set of power windows;
- rear armrest with cup holders;
- steering wheel heating;
- curtain on the rear window;
- heated side mirrors;
- key with remote control;
- light sensors;
- socket in the luggage compartment;
- audio system with six speakers;
- multifunction steering wheel;
- heated washer nozzles.
The car in this version is available exclusively with a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine with a maximum output of 140 horsepower. The price for the 2022 Kia XCeed in the Luxe configuration is 1,754,900 rubles.
Prestige
The Prestige package has a much richer level of optional equipment. This performance has everything that is available in Luxe, as well as:
- electric folding mirrors;
- the function of delaying the headlights off when the locks are closed;
- heated front and rear seats;
- keyless entry system;
- additional interior heater;
- color information display on the “tidy”;
- gearshift lever and leather-wrapped steering wheel;
- electrically heated windshield.
The technical equipment of the car is no different from Luxe. It costs the same 1.4-liter turbo unit, “robot” and front-wheel drive. The price of a car in this configuration on the Russian market is 1,924,900 rubles.
Premium+
As expected, the “Premium +” package is the top one and all the best options available for the model are implemented in it. The list of equipment has all the functions of the Prestige, as well as options such as:
- electrically adjustable lumbar support in the driver’s seat;
- intelligent trunk opening system;
- full size spare wheel;
- LED headlights;
- roof rails;
- LED taillights;
- full package of security assistants.
In the Premium + package, the technical equipment is the same as in the previous configurations. A car in this configuration, in Russian dealerships, is sold for 2,184,900 rubles.
Premium
This version is the most advanced package and includes almost all Premium + options, with the exception of some security assistants. The exclusivity of the configuration is emphasized by the following options:
- 18-inch wheels;
- glossy finish mirror housings;
- electric sunroof;
- 12.3-inch multimedia display;
- premium audio system;
- two-tone trim.
This configuration comes with a more powerful 1.6-liter turbocharged unit. However, the same 7-band “robot” is used as a transmission. The drive is exclusively front. This is the most expensive version of the 2022 Kia Xceed – 2,304,900 rubles.

Safety
Despite the relatively budget price, the car has a very high level of safety, which is supported by the following options:
- active management system;
- help with the start of the movement on the rise;
- anti-theft system;

Also exclusive to the Premium+ package, there is a lane keeping system, a traffic jam assistant, car parking, traffic sign recognition, emergency braking, and driver monitoring. Xceed has not been crash tested. But experts extend the results of the standard Seed to the entire family. In 2019, this model scored 6.8 out of 8 in frontal crash tests and 14 out of 16 in sidewall impact. All in all, these are not bad results.
Technical specifications
This car at the end of last year had minor changes in terms of technical characteristics. The fact is that instead of the old 1.4-liter internal combustion engine, a one and a half liter engine with 150 “horses” appeared, and it is he who is now the base one. This unit allows you to accelerate from standstill to the first “hundred” in 9.2 seconds and consumes only 5.9 liters of gasoline, which is almost a liter less than the previous ICE with lower performance. However, the top-end is still considered a 1.6-liter engine with a maximum power of 200 hp. This power plant “eats” already 7.1 liters of gasoline. The dynamics of acceleration to 100 km / h of this version is the same as that of the old version, but acceleration from standstill to “weave” is 9.2 seconds. As a transmission, a robotic gearbox is used, which directs traction to the front axle.
The machine is very small. For example, the length of the machine is 4395 mm, the width is 1826 mm, and the height is 1483 mm. Such indicators allow you to perform absolutely any maneuvers without any obstacles at all. Between the axles of this car, the distance is 2.6 meters. Because of this, you should not count on the space in the cabin. However, the car has a decent level of luggage compartment – 426 liters. Therefore, you can take all the necessary things with you on a trip.
