Jimny is one of the few “male” cars that retained the frame, serious spring suspension and solid axles. The expensive version of the GLX has alloy wheels of interesting design, while the cheaper version, the GL, has metal stampings. The 15-inch Dunlop Grandtrek 195/80 R15 road tires are good for trail or back roads, but for bumpy and sandy rides, it’s better to swap out for something more “toothy”. Rear brakes are drum. Any suzuki driver will tell you that for a car that drives through mud, this is great.

By the way, on simpler Jimny there are h4 lamps that shine so-so, so for those for whom this is important, it is better to take the GLX version with LED headlights – as the Japanese say, a projector type.
The gas tank cap, located on the right, opens from the passenger compartment. In Jimny, you can also pour the 92nd gasoline, but the 95th is better – the engine will be grateful for this.
Small but very cool
Do not think that Jimny is a toy that only vaguely resembles the “real jeeps” of serious uncles. Those who are completely unfamiliar with the previous model, and are going to buy it only because of the cartoonish appearance, should understand that they are not in front of a cozy urban crossover, but a real frame SUV with a minimum amount of auxiliary electronics, difficult handling and bookcase aerodynamics.

After proper preparation (a small lift, installation of a winch, differential, protection and snorkel), it completely turns into an uncompromising all-terrain vehicle with almost perfect geometric cross-country ability, capable of driving where others simply cannot fit. So the compact size in this case is more of an advantage than a disadvantage.

Engine, transmission and chassis
The range of Jimny-4 engines is limited to only one power plant – this is a 4-cylinder in-line internal combustion engine with gasoline fuel injection of the “injector” type, with a capacity of 102 hp. With. (at a crankshaft speed of 6000 rpm).
The engine has a volume of 1462 cubic centimeters (1.5 liters), four valves per cylinder, complies with international environmental standards Euro-6.

Both suspensions of the car are spring-loaded, the front axle is equipped with disc brakes, brake drums are placed at the rear, and the steering is equipped with an electric booster.

Suzuki Jimny in the 4th generation has finally received a multimedia system with a color touch screen and support for various languages, you can also set up a Russian menu.
In the basic version of the Jimny 4 2019, R15 steel wheels are installed, the dashboard is complemented by an informative on-board computer.
The front seats are mechanically adjustable, with frontal airbags, side airbags and curtain airbags.
Also standard equipment includes cruise control, fog lights, Bluetooth, air conditioning, DAB radio.
A more charged version of the Japanese SUV suggests the presence of:
