  • parking assist technology;
  • front row heating function;
  • entertainment system that received a color display and other things.

Today, both the first and second generation of the German minivan can be purchased on the Russian secondary market. However, finding a restyled Volkswagen Sharan II generation will be much more difficult. However, as of the summer of 2021, the price of the 2015 Volkswagen Sharan in the secondary market starts at 1,455,000 rubles. The final price tag will depend on the year of manufacture, trim level, as well as the general condition of the vehicle.

Specifications

The compact van has a wide range of powertrains, equipped with mechanical, automatic and robotic gearboxes. The drive is front-wheel drive by default, in some versions the 4Motion system is available, which transmits torque to the rear wheels through a multi-plate clutch.

The gasoline range is represented by in-line turbocharged fours of 1.4 and 2.0 liters. They give out 150-200 horsepower, accelerate the car to hundreds in 8.3-10.7 seconds and allow you to dial up to 197-221 kilometers per hour as much as possible. Fuel consumption will be approximately 7.2-8.4 liters of gasoline per hundred kilometers in the combined cycle.

Diesel versions will receive exclusively in-line two-liter turbo fours. Depending on the version, they produce from 115 to 170 horsepower. Acceleration to 100 km / h will take from 9.5 to 12.6 seconds, and the high-speed ceiling will be located at around 184-210 km / h. Fuel consumption is quite democratic – 5.5-6.2 liters of diesel fuel for every hundred in the combined driving cycle.

Interior

Salon Volkswagen Sharan has clear lines and neat shapes. Thanks to this, the interior decoration turned out to be modern, but a little dull. However, this concept has another side, which is reflected in the almost perfect ergonomics and layout of the working driver’s seat. All controls are located exactly where they should be.

At the driver’s seat of the Volkswagen Sharan, German engineers installed a well-read instrument panel. It includes a color display on-board computer and two analog dials. In front of the “tidy” there is a steering wheel slightly trimmed at the bottom, which received additional keys that allow you to control the multimedia center.

The center console may be different, as much depends on the configuration of the Volkswagen Sharan 2. At the top, a 5- or 6.5-inch color multimedia entertainment unit can be placed. On the sides there was a place for a small number of buttons that allow you to control this system. Also on the sides, the Germans installed vertical air ducts of the ventilation unit.

Below, on a separate decorating line running across the front, there is an emergency stop button. Next comes the air conditioning control unit, which looks quite concise. As for finishing materials, which can also include the quality of fitting elements, VW can be safely praised. However, the “German” still does not reach the level of premium minivan models.

A potential buyer can choose a Volkswagen Sharan salon, designed for 5 or 7 seats. The first row boasts moderately hard and comfortable seats. Good tangible lateral support and a wide range of adjustments prevail. As a separate option, a minivan from Germany can get an electric drive, heating, a ventilation system, as well as a massage function.

From 1995 to 2015, the Volkswagen Sharan sold around the world in the amount of 1,000,000 copies, which made it very popular.

On the second row there were three full-size chairs mounted on special skids. Thanks to the latter, you can move these chairs back and forth. In addition to this, rear passengers can adjust the backrest inclination. If we talk about the 3rd row of seats, it comes as a separate option and is more designed for children or teenagers, as adults there will not have enough space in front of the knees.

The Sharan trunk is designed for a volume of 711 liters, if we take a 5-seater layout of the cabin and load to the level of the glasses. If we consider the loading under the ceiling, the volume will already be 1,167 liters. If necessary, the middle row backrests can be removed, which will already provide 2,430 liters of usable space. This is enough to transport, for example, a compact refrigerator. As for the 7-seater saloon, 300 liters are available here. If you remove the second and third row, the volume will increase to 2,297 liters of usable space.
