The exterior of the new crossover
The appearance of new cars or brands always attracts attention, regardless of the quality and country of origin. The first Chinese cars reminded many of the existing European models, while the build quality was below the plinth. Constant problems with the technical part, lack of spare parts and not the most modern design. Wheel arches were considered the main jamb, or rather the ratio of their size to the size of standard rims.
Over time, many of these problems of Chinese cars have become a thing of the past, and many companies began to highlight their premium brands, which immediately became popular in some countries. Car manufacturer Chery is well known for its Tiggo series crossovers, but the first options were like a “tin can” with a bunch of plastic inside. Now everything has changed. One such example was the new brand CheryExeed, with the first TXL crossover in the CIS countries.
At first glance, the new CheryExeed TXL is hard to say which of the existing crossovers it looks like the most. If you look closely and remember, then the features of Land Rover in front, Hyundai Santa Fe on the side and Mazda CX-7 of the latest generation at the stern of the crossover are very well visible. Indeed, the Chinese auto industry has not abandoned the idea of copying certain parts of cars from existing popular models.
The front of the new CheryExeed TXL will surprise you with an open grille, stretched from the hood to the very bottom of the front, but with a small horizontal insert in the center. To improve the design, the radiator grille was diluted with horizontal chrome stripes, as well as a mesh insert in the background. The presence of sensors and sensors at the bottom of the grille indicates the presence of active security and comfort systems on board the crossover. Indeed, all electronics are from Bosch.
The designers decided to decorate the very top of the grille with the inscription CheryExeed. Until now, many people confuse how the brand name is spelled correctly, with or without a space. According to company representatives and in the price list on the official website, the name of the crossover is indicated without a space.
Not the last role in the design of the CheryExeed TXL front end was played by optics. In the basic configuration, the front optics will be based on halogens, but in the top it will be fully LED, with separated sectors and yellow direction indicators. The very bottom of the optics was emphasized by an LED line, which also serves as daytime running lights. The designers did not stop there, and connect the optics with the same LED line, drawing it under the inscription on the radiator grille.
The severity and style of the CheryExeed TXL crossover is given by a pair of large open air ducts on the sides of the bumper, with a pair of large LED fog lights. The design is complemented by a strict crossover hood, with a raised central part and sharp side lines. With the advantages of the hood, it is worth noting its considerable weight, thoughtful fastening and gas stop, which fully withstands the weight of the hood.
On the side, the new CheryExeed TXL looks more like a Hyundai Santa Fe. All this is due to the curved lines on the side, the narrowed third glass and the stamping at the bottom of the doors. Designers tried their best to minimize the number of chrome parts. As for the ratio of wheel arches and wheels, the proportion is more than suitable. The crossover is based on 18″ alloy wheels in the Luxury package, and 19″ wheels were used for the Flagship.
Not the last role in the design of the CherryExeed TXL crossover was played by body color. The choice of the buyer offered 5 options:
- black obsidian;
- gray anthracite;
- white pearl;
- purple charoite;
- scarlet ruby.
Other options or a two-tone body color for the new CheryExeed TXL have not yet been provided. The last detail on the side of the new crossover is the rear-view mirrors. Until recently, many manufacturers transferred mirrors to the door part, but thereby spoiled the overall design of the car.
In CheryExeed, the designers decided to leave them in the corner of the front windows, thus following the classic arrangement of mirrors. The functional list of mirrors is on top, it includes LED turn signals, electric adjustment, automatic folding, logo projection on the road surface and memory for several modes.
If CheryExceed looks like a Hyundai Santa Fe from the side, then it looks a bit like a Mazda from behind. Like the front, the rear feet of the crossover are fully LED, and for a better design, they were connected to each other by an LED line, stretching it across the entire width of the trunk lid, and adding a small chrome line at the bottom. The very top of the CheryExeed trunk lid was decorated with a sports spoiler paired with an LED stop repeater.
Well, the trunk lid itself turned out to be massive, like a hood and without extra steps, which is very convenient when loading a bulky load. On the plus side, there can be a lid closer and a contactless opening system (installed as standard in both configurations). Finishing the back of CheryExeed is a large bumper, with a pair of horizontal foglights and a recess for license plates. At the very bottom there is a diffuser with a pair of non-property exhaust system tips, which means there is a powerful engine under the hood.
Finally, it is worth considering the CheryExeed TXL roof. In the basic configuration, there can be two options, solid or with a panoramic sunroof. The top-end TXL Flagship received a panoramic roof with a sliding front. Additionally, a pair of roof rails and a small antenna in the form of a shark fin are installed on the roof.
If we talk in general about the external design of CheryExeed TXL, then the new crossover turned out to be stylish and modern, despite the fact that individual elements are recognizable from previously known models. The European style of the car is seen for a reason, because the engineers of Land Rover, Jaguar and other companies worked on the design, which Chery lured to its side, offering more favorable conditions.

Specifications and filling
The premium crossover, built on the basis of the Chery Tiggo 7, did not take its range of engines from the latter, but immediately received a 197-horsepower four-cylinder turbo engine that is powerful enough for its class. Cheryexeed TXL.
This 1.6-liter unit carries the TGDi index, and a seven-speed “robot” is offered to transfer torque to the front axle. Such a modification will be the only one, as well as the equipment, which, according to the assurances of the Chinese, will turn out to be “maximum” – with an adaptive “cruise”, all-round cameras, parking sensors, as well as a huge number of active and passive safety systems.
