True, while this feature is available only in the US, and in Russia it will appear a little later.

Before the eyes of the driver there will be all the same mechanical instrument dials, and a little to the right – two vertically arranged touch displays with a diagonal of 7 and 8 inches. In 2021, in the era of “virtual cockpits” with augmented reality and huge separate touchscreens, analog tidy and a tandem of screens that are not the largest by modern standards already look like a classic.

Is there anything in common between image and behavior on the road? Let’s check. Under the hood we have a two-liter four-cylinder “aspirated” with a turbine and a variable compression ratio. It is paired with a traditional Jatco CVT. The platform is the same as that of the QX50, but they still worked on the chassis settings. The suspension has been “tightened up”, so that now it feels more elastic, although it practically did not lose in comfort.

The dynamics turned out to be not fantastic, but more than decent – the cross-coupe accelerates to “hundreds” in 7.5 seconds. As expected, there are no problems with control, and the chip in the form of an allegedly missing steering rack makes itself felt only in sports mode – then the car really responds to any microscopic movement of the steering wheel and does it with surgical precision. True, you have to pay for agility on the road, in this case, the expense. The QX55 has a healthy appetite: in the urban cycle, the car consumes 12-13 liters per 100 km with pleasure. On the track, the values ​​will, of course, drop significantly.

And if the Infiniti turned out to be expectedly good on the road, then there was absolutely no desire to drive it into the fields – it simply does not belong there. Although I confess, once I still drove off the road – it was interesting to check the all-wheel drive system. In short, we managed to get out of the mud under our own power – this is a plus. From constant slipping, both the box and the clutch overheat, and the car begins to beg for mercy – this is a minus. But this does not happen instantly, and the electronics behave more than reasonably, so the muddy roads of this handsome man do not frighten.

The designers completed the front panel in several stages, thereby dividing the control into zones. The panel itself received leather trim and, depending on the wishes of the buyer, can be black or combined shades. The stitching will be contrasting and, as a rule, white.

Despite current trends and automotive fashion, the manufacturer did not abandon mechanical buttons. The multimedia system consists of two separate displays, which can also display different information. The upper display, regardless of the configuration, will be 8″, but the lower one will be 7″.

If the predecessor was allegedly built on the platform of the Nissan 370Z sports car, this model is naturally based on the classic crossover. Suspension is all independent with MacPherson struts in front and multi-link rear. Infiniti’s handling is facilitated by the Body Motion Control system, which makes the car sportier than its brother – the only difference.

The sporty demeanor is evident in the dampers and anti-roll bars (27mm front and 23mm rear) reconfigured for stiffer performance.

The car was also left with a single VC-Turbo engine, producing 272 horsepower and 380 H * m of torque from a 2-liter displacement. Naturally, in Russia the power will be lowered to 249 tax forces.

The horse will be processed by an 8-speed Jatco CVT, mated to an Inteligent-All-Wheel Drive all-wheel drive system that connects the rear axle through a clutch. The maximum system will give the rear axle 50% of the power.

The dynamics is unknown, but judging by the colleague it will be the same 6.7 seconds. Fuel consumption equal to at least 10 liters in the city will be identical.
