As already mentioned, the updated Jeep Compass 2022 outwardly differs in individual details. At first glance, an inexperienced motorist will not be able to distinguish the updated SUV from its predecessor. In fact, the differences in the exterior, although pointy, but they added more rigor and charisma to the new Jeep Compass.

First of all, the updates affected the front of the Jeep Compass 2022. The front optics have already been done, with a black background and LED daytime running lights on the top (previously DRLs were at the bottom of the optics). Due to this, the SUV seems strict. There are practically no changes on the grille. Still 7 rectangular holes with mesh insert and chrome trim. The background of the grid is made of black gloss, although this is more of a minus than a plus. In a matter of kilometers, this part will quickly become covered with dust and small scratches.

The main difference between the new Jeep Compass will be the front bumper. If earlier the fog lights on the sides of the bumper were not interconnected, and there was an additional, narrow radiator grill in the center of the bumper, now there are changes. Designers combined foglights and an additional grille in one line, still doing everything from black glossy plastic.

The lower part of the Jeep Compass bumper has also been updated. The designers stretched the lower grille to the same width as the main grille. It also placed all sorts of sensors for security and comfort systems. Many motorists are already saying that the updated Compass will be the little brother of the Grand Cherokee. Yes, you can easily confuse them.

Emphasizes this entire set of massive hood. At first glance, there are no changes. In fact, they are point and you can see them only by looking at the “old” and new versions of SUVs. The edge and edging of the hood brought more, increasing the angle of inclination. The central part of the hood was also raised above the main canvas. Thus, the new Jeep Compass looks strict and aggressive.

The top version of the Jeep Compass Trailhawk will have a bright appearance, austerity and an abundance of black plastic and all kinds of inserts. Unlike the base variant, the front bumper is slightly different. There is no connecting line, the additional grille has become larger, and sensors for security systems have been placed in the center of the bumper, lifting them up.

If we talk in general about the new Jeep Compass 2022, then it is the front part that distinguishes the new product most of all, and will also indicate the configuration. The location of certain parts, their shape and style will be recognizable elements between SUV trim levels. It is possible that for a separate surcharge, the buyer will be offered to diversify the Jeep Compass by adding individual elements.

We figured out the front of the Jeep Compass, but what differences did the updated SUV get on the side. If you do not take into account the point details, fastening and differences of a couple of millimeters, then there are no noticeable differences as such. For some unknown reason, the manufacturer simply did not change.

The wheel arches remained the same rough cut shape. Depending on the wishes of the buyer or the model, the plastic protection around the perimeter of the lower part can be painted black or in the shade of the body.

Otherwise, everything is the same, up to the location and shape of the side mirrors. The difference will be the design of the rims, designed specifically for the new Jeep Compass. According to the standard, 17″ alloy wheels will be installed at the base of the SUV, top versions or 18″ and 19″ wheels will be offered as an option.

In terms of colors, the updated Jeep Compass 2022 is offered to the buyer to paint in:

• black;
• white;
• silver;
• Navy blue;
• blue;
• red;
• burgundy;
• mustard;
• orange.

In addition to the listed solid body colors, the buyer will also be offered a two-tone color. In particular, black was combined with the listed shades. As a rule, the roof, front, side and part of the rear pillars will be painted black. It should not be ruled out that as new copies arrive, new shades will also be offered to choose from.

The back of the Jeep Compass 2022, like the side, has not changed much. The designers left a slight slope of the rear window, the rear feet are still located partly on the trunk lid, partly on the body part of the SUV. The black background of the stops, as in the front optics, added severity to the new Jeep Compass. A small but very important innovation was a nameplate on the trunk lid, which indicates the type of drive (maybe 4×2 or 4×4, front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, respectively, where the first number is the number of wheels, and the second is the number of driving wheels).

Another minor difference is the rear bumper. The designers decided to remove the mesh insert in the center of the bumper, and only make a small lower part from black plastic. The exception will be the Trailhawk trim, where the bumper is mostly made of black plastic. The equipment is mostly designed for off-road use and small scratches on a regular bumper are not the best option.

Finally, consider the roof of the updated Jeep Compass 2022. In contrast to the stylish appearance, the roof of an SUV will not surprise you with variety. So far, the manufacturer has not provided any information about the presence of a panoramic roof. Basically, this is a solid roof with stiffeners, a conventional whip antenna, as well as side rails for attaching an additional trunk.

The top-end configurations of the Jeep Compass were promised to be equipped with an electric sunroof. How much you have to pay extra for this option, the manufacturer has not yet specified. Speaking in general, about the appearance of the Jeep Compass 2022, the changes are small and pointy. Nevertheless, the novelty has received a strict and aggressive design. It is possible that for a separate surcharge, the manufacturer will offer to install decorative elements or a whole package of parts. In particular, this may be for off-road configurations.

Options and prices

Due to the global revision of the model range, the Jeep Compass 2022 has retained only three available trim levels – Longitude, Night Eagle, Limited, which do not differ much in price and are approximately similar in equipment. In addition, they are united by the only available engine and “box”, so the buyer has to make a choice only on the basis of functionality.

longitude

Initial equipment, estimated at 2,900,000 rubles. The price is justified by the presence of all-wheel drive, an automatic transmission and a high ground clearance of 21.5 centimeters. For him prepared power steering and front stabilizer. Longitude can be distinguished by 16-inch alloy wheels. In the neighboring configuration, the wheels turned out to be 2 inches larger at once, so the generation looks somewhat “truncated”. But the basic assembly is not inferior in equipping the brake system: it has an electronic parking brake, disc rear brakes and similar front ones, but with additional ventilation.

The equipment is implemented by installing:

• halogen headlights;
• front fog lights;
• rear lights with LEDs;
• additional stop signal;
• light sensors.

For a surcharge, you can connect a rain sensor and an electric tailgate. Equipped were side mirrors, painted in body color. Their capabilities include an electric drive, direction indicators. The amount also includes rear window heating. Appearance is determined by roof rails, a rear spoiler and a janitor, as well as a metallic body color. The salon turned out to be no less presentable. The list included a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a customizable steering column, and steering wheel audio controls. Next to it is the engine start button. However, the multifunctional display is not presented here yet. The standard upholstery is fabric, but you can pay extra for a combined fabric. As a “bonus”, the buyer receives a central lock with remote control, heated first row of seats, steering wheel and nozzles, a full package of power windows. The interior microclimate is assigned to the air conditioner with a cabin filter. In the center is a 7.0-inch screen that outputs sound to 6 speakers of the speaker system. The price includes installation of an immobilizer and a spare full-size tire.

night eagle

The extended equipment of the Jeep Compass 2022 Night Eagle will cost the buyer 3,055,000 rubles. There are not many differences:

• fabric upholstery is replaced with a combined trim;
• instead of a 7.0-inch screen, an 8.4-inch screen is installed in the center;
• a modern navigation system is being installed;
• rims “grow” up to 18 inches.

For a surcharge, you can replace the combined trim with leather, install DRL, trunk drive and heated mirrors.

Limited

The Limited package is considered the highest on the list. The price for it is 3,180,000 rubles. Unlike the previous assembly, the rims are reduced to 17 inches, but the halogen headlights are changed to xenon ones. In the photos you can see the appearance of LED DRLs, and in the price list – rain sensors. Limited is the first configuration where heated exterior mirrors and an electric drive for the luggage compartment are available. Sunroof, panoramic roof, tinting – for a fee. A 7.0-inch screen appeared on the dashboard. Inside, climate control for two zones, Beats premium acoustics with 9 speakers and 7.0-inch multimedia without navigation.

Design

Despite a major upgrade, the corporate style remains recognizable thanks to the preservation of large cells on the radiator grille. In addition, the Jeep Compass 2022 boasts:

• redesigned head optics in the front. Their shape became closer to the “older” Grand Cherokee. The company logo was placed in the center of the lattice. The streamlined lines are offset by the straight hood cover. There are also large “fog”;
• muscular wheel arches in profile. Depending on the selected configuration, the size of the rims will be 16-18 inches. At the same time, the “middle” has the largest wheels. The mirrors have become larger, and the glazing line has been brought to the top;
• several brake light segments on the rear. Textured stampings emphasize the “masculine” character. A separate niche is provided for installing a license plate. The bumper was given reflectors and silver protection.
