Geely Atlas Pro on a lift: what and how is it made of?
With the help of our partners from Carville Management Company, we decided to carry out a quick technical inspection of the test Atlas Pro to find out what components are used in the design of the car and how prepared it is for Russian operating conditions.
The entire engine compartment is covered with plastic to protect against dirt. But it turned out that there was little use for such protection: having removed the plastic shields, we found that the engine and attachments were completely covered with dust and dirt. Outwardly, it’s beautiful under the hood, but in reality it’s only harder for mechanics to work
Crankcase, gas tank, box – everything is covered with protective covers. However, judging by the mounts and their location, the protection was installed at the dealership: whether there is factory protection is not officially specified.
Technological holes in the power elements in the lower part of the body are not closed by anything – neither with plastic plugs, nor at least with stickers. Over time, moisture and dirt will get in there, which will cause corrosion.

Salon overview
Salon Geely has a modern and stylish design, the salon uses high quality materials and finishing. The seats are designed to be comfortable and supportive, with plenty of legroom and headroom for passengers.
Atlas is equipped with many comfort and cosiness features, including air conditionerpower windows and locks, as well as a multimedia system with a touch screen.
Higher Atlas trim levels offer additional comfort features such as leather upholsteryheated seats and a panoramic sunroof.
Compared to the previous generation, new decor elements have appeared in the interior of the SUV.
The crossover looks nice and modern. This happened as a result of the fact that the company changed almost everything.
The new digital monitor, the multi-wheel looks like a regular steering wheel with an oval shape.
By default, the center console is vertically mounted touch screen multimedia system. In order to charge the smartphone, there is a slot for wireless charging under the screen.
The new model received improved seats with better lateral support and improved upholstery materials.
Start of sales
The Geely Boyue, known in Russia as Atlas, was first unveiled at the 2016 Beijing Auto Show and it went on sale in China later that year.
Geely is a relatively new and obscure automaker, so the Boyue may not be as widely available in some markets as some other midsize SUVs from more established brands like Toyota or Honda.
The first appearance of Geely Atlas in Russia is marked by 2018. Its equipment has been repeatedly revised, so the SUV is presented in dealerships with samples of 2018, 2019 and 2020.
