The most popular engine is installed on the experimental car – a two-liter SQR484F. To change the candles, you need to remove the plastic engine cover – it is also part of the air duct. Access to the candle tips is limited by the crankcase ventilation hose: squeezing the clamp, pull it off the valve cover pipe and set it aside. Now you can take out the tips and unscrew the candles (they are turnkey “16”), but first we close the hole in the throttle assembly so as not to accidentally litter there.

The air filter is easy to change. We unscrew a couple of self-tapping screws “under the cross”, lift the back of the cover and, having shifted from the hooks, remove it. When installing a new filter element, make sure that the sealing gum does not move out – it is better to moisten it with soapy water. If it warps or jams, uncleaned air will go into the motor. At the same time, it is desirable to carry out wet cleaning in the body cavity, removing the dirt accumulated at the bottom.

Interior

One of the advantages of this car is its large interior, and this is taking into account the fact that the car itself was built on the basis of the compact Seat Toledo, which was produced back in the early nineties. The salon is simple and at the same time ergonomic. To decorate the front panel, polished aluminum inserts were used, which made the interior visually more expensive. The plastic on the front panel is pleasant to the touch, especially the options with sand and beige interior design look spectacular.

The dashboard is simple and ergonomic at the same time, all indicators from the instruments are easily read, there is also a small digital display that displays the car’s mileage, current fuel consumption and a number of other data. The central panel houses a multimedia control unit with a small screen, as well as climate control.

In general, the interior of this car is pleasant. It is simply huge, both in front and behind, allowing even three passengers in the back seat to travel comfortably. The build quality is quite good, only after several years of operation, the interior panels begin to rattle slightly, and crickets appear in the cabin, which the car owner already has to put up with.

On its cars, the Chinese manufacturer offered three powertrains at once, including a base 1.5-liter engine that developed 109 horsepower. It was also possible to order sixteen-valve modern engines that had a variable valve timing system. This is a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that developed 119 horsepower, and a two-liter engine with 129 horsepower was already installed on top models. The base offered a five-speed gearbox, and for a surcharge you could already get a 4-speed automatic. Boxes and engines proved to be quite reliable, they did not cause any special problems, and when the car owner followed the service recommendations, they usually withstood about 200,000 without major repairs.

These engines meet world standards, provide outstanding performance and allow you to enjoy the joy of driving even more. The Chery Fora model went on sale in Russia at the end of 2006. It is equipped at the level of higher-class cars: leather interior, full power accessories, climate control system, 2-liter gasoline engine. At the same time, the car is offered at the price of a much more modest golf-class hatchback. The only option missing is an automatic transmission.
